Without any major OS issues, I only had one problem.
Macgo blu ray player doesnt work windows 10#
Preface: I originally upgraded my Dell Studio 1737, from Windows 7 Ultimate to Windows 10 Pro.
Macgo blu ray player doesnt work install#
My problem started, after I was nearly all set up and happy with my clean install of Windows 10. I have a very similar problem like you all, when it comes to the non-working "Start Menu/button & Cortana" issues. I will try a reboot and see what I can do in the recovery options. I'm going to restore and see what happens. So my last restore point is the 13th with "Critical" Windows Updates. I'm considering creating an image after I get this issue fixed. Perhaps one of those options will help? System Restore can be pretty good. You can also hold the Shift key as you click Restart in the Start menu.

Not sure if its F8 still to open the options I'll google it to be sure.ĮDIT: (Recovery tools) To access them, open the Settings app, select Update & security, select Recovery, and click “Restart now” under Advanced startup. Instead of trying to refresh, I believe there is a way to work in automatic recovery prior to windows booting. Try that in an elevated command prompt ("sfc /scannow") to see if you get the same result.
Macgo blu ray player doesnt work Offline#
Note that logging is currently not supported in offline servicing scenarios. Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them. After restarting, I'm back to square one with the critical error message.Įdit 5: I gave up trying to fix the computer with cmd and powershell, so I created a win10 install disk with the media creation tool and reinstalled the OS. So currently, search, start menu, and action center are working, but store isn't there.Įdit 4: I tried one of the powershell commands to see if I could restore applications to the start menu.

Does anyone have any ideas to fix this?Įdit 1: I tried running wsreset.exe and I got "You'll need a new app to open this ms-windows-store"Įdit 2: I did the application identity fix in services, but the start menu is completely emptyĮdit 3: Using the Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –onlineĬommand, I now have search working, though it may have been working before. A boot in safe mode reports the "You'll need a new app to open this" when clicking on the start menu/search. After logging in and out from that message, it still doesn't work. It reappeared after re-indexing the search. After all the fix attempts, the "Critical error" message disappeared. I even tried to reset the PC, which failed. Sfc /scannow said that it found the errors and couldn't fix them. I turn to google and tried many of the powershell and elevated command prompt solutions, none of which worked. One day the "Critical error" message comes up, and signing out provided no fixes. For a few days, it worked smoothly, with no problems.

Only trying to play them on my PC.I installed Windows 10 on a computer with Windows 7 before. I do not even try to rip or copy my blu-ray discs. Maybe some kind of blu-ray disc protection's that prevent me to play such disc on my PC? The discs are very new and run OK in other devices. The other ones the images become distorted and pixelated. Interestingly, only 2 ou 3 blu-rays discs that I have here play smoothly using Leawo Blu-ray Player. When I put such discs on my blu-ray standalone player, runs perfect! Image and sound clear! No scratches, stains, mold: all clean and undamaged. So, I look after some programs to do that.įree options I could find: Leawo Blu-ray Player and VLC media player ( I follow the guide:, for watching Blu-ray in that program).īut in both programs when I play the discs, the images become distorted.

I do not have any blu-ray software player to run such discs. Finally, I got a blu-ray device and now I can play such content on my PC.īut, I'm experiencing some problems here.
